EGS are artificial reservoirs created underground in areas with hot rock, where fluid pathways are enhanced through safe drilling processes to increase connectivity. These pathways allow fluid to flow through the hot rock, bringing heat to the surface for electricity generation.

A new polymer-based fluid developed for reservoir stimulation in enhanced geothermal systems. The fluid is designed to be non-toxic, recyclable at low cost, and capable of withstanding extreme pressures, temperatures, and acidity levels.

The process of creating small cracks in rock formations to enable fluid flow. In the context of EGS, this is achieved using the eco-friendly fracturing fluid.
