Hamburg

A 700 megawatt green hydrogen plant powered by offshore wind energy designed to produce carbon-neutral aviation fuel for Hamburg Airport. The project uniquely captures and utilizes oxygen and waste heat byproducts from electrolysis, selling oxygen to a cement plant and waste heat to a district heating system.

Intermediate product created by mixing hydrogen produced via electrolysis with carbon dioxide captured from the cement plant, which is then refined into synthetic kerosene.

Aviation fuel produced by refining synthetic methanol created from hydrogen (via electrolysis) and captured carbon dioxide from the cement plant. Intended for use at Hamburg Airport to reduce aviation carbon emissions.
