The Port of Gothenburg in Sweden sees some of the highest numbers of heavy-duty truck traffic in the country and is opening a new hydrogen station that will dispense only H2 produced using renewable energy. The location for the facility will be at one of the busiest gates at the port
The hydrogen station will be used for refueling H2-powered heavy-duty vehicles such as shipping trucks that frequent the location. This will help to improve the availability of the zero-carbon emission fuel.
The facility is operated by Hydri, which is a Swedish company with a focus on improving the H2 infrastructure network throughout the country. Its goal is to bring about 20 H2 refueling locations online throughout this year and next year. The location at the Port of Gothenburg is the first that it is installing and has received partial funding from the Swedish Energy Agency.
