Air Liquide also invests in renewable hydrogen produced by water electrolysis powered by renewable electricity, commonly termed ‘green hydrogen’, which generates hydrogen without direct CO₂ emissions when the electricity is from wind, solar, or other low‑carbon sources.[1] This technology is central to projects targeting decarbonization of heavy transport and certain industrial processes that are difficult to electrify directly, as well as to building hydrogen refuelling networks.[1]
