Natural gas production

A hydrogen production process that captures methane vented from coal mines and blends it with natural gas to produce hydrogen for aviation fuel applications.

Hydrogen produced from natural gas without carbon capture, which is the most common method currently.

Aviation fuel produced from non-fossil sources, significantly reducing the carbon impact compared to conventional jet fuels.

Pennsylvania

A $1.5 billion hydrogen fuel production facility proposed by CNX Resources at Pittsburgh International Airport. The facility would capture coal mine methane, blend it with natural gas, and convert it into hydrogen-based aviation fuel for commercial aircraft.

An existing hydrogen production facility operated by KeyState Energy in northern Pennsylvania. The facility produces grey hydrogen from natural gas and is a partner in the Pittsburgh airport hydrogen project.
