Olympic medals manufactured from recycled precious metals extracted from donated mobile phones and electronic devices. Gold medals contain more than 6 grams of gold plating on pure silver; silver medals are pure silver; bronze medals are a red brass alloy of 95% copper and 5% zinc. Each medal measures 85mm in diameter with thickness ranging from 7.7mm to 12.1mm.
