The process used to produce green hydrogen by splitting water using electricity.

Iridium (Ir) is used as a catalyst in PEM electrolyzers to facilitate the oxygen evolution reaction at the anode. It provides the best balance of activity and stability under harsh oxidizing conditions and has no viable substitute among precious metals.
