A hydrogen valley is a geographically defined area where multiple hydrogen production, distribution, and use cases are integrated into a single ecosystem to demonstrate the viability of a regional hydrogen economy.[3] LuxHyVal is designed as Luxembourg’s flagship hydrogen valley, integrating local green hydrogen production, storage and distribution infrastructure, and a portfolio of industrial and mobility applications, all under a coordinated governance and business model framework. The project includes replication mechanisms to transfer its solutions to follower valleys in Czechia and Ukraine, highlighting its role as a template rather than a stand‑alone plant.

Hydrogen produced from renewable electricity sources, considered a critical component for hydrogen's long-term credibility as a clean fuel.

Luxembourg (national scope, with core installations expected in industrial zones such as near existing energy and mobility hubs)

A 5 MW green hydrogen production facility developed by Enovos as the core production asset of the Luxembourg Hydrogen Valley, supplying green hydrogen to industrial and mobility users in Luxembourg.

Renewable-based hydrogen produced via electrolysis, targeted for industrial feedstock and mobility uses in Luxembourg as part of the Luxembourg Hydrogen Valley.
